Dingle for Christmas

Dingle is located in County Kerry in Ireland on the far west coast on the Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding area is full of wild rugged mountain and coastal scenery and many of the local people speak Irish (Gaelic) as their first language. For the past 10 years or so Dingle has become a very popular Christmas and New Year destination.
The town has numerous lively bars where traditional Irish music sessions are held regularly. There are many really good restaurants in the area where seafood is a speciality. Fresh fish is landed at the quay in the town almost daily.
There is an abundance of goog quality accommodation including hotels, bed and breakfasts and lots of self catering units.
The atmosphere in the town is one of celebration and festivity throughout this period.
